![]() ![]() Good evening sir, I hope all is well with you and yours and that the first weekend of November treated you well.īack in about '84 or '85 I decided that I needed a double action revolver and found one at Fletcher's Sporting Goods in Oroville, WA. I have one and like it but the 150 series grips are hard to find. The guns with a 150 prefix on the serial number had the original low hump grip frame on the rear. Great situation for the owner of the Security Six, not so much for the owner of the company. Something about the serial number starting with 170-xxxxx or 171-xxxxx? Do some reasearchīill Ruger said he “ never made a dime on the Security Six.” Too much quality at too low a price. There was a frame/grip change early on, which will make a difference in trying to find grips. ![]() It just wasn’t as tight as the blued Security Six, which is why I sold that one. I also had a stainless 4” heavy barrel Security Six. On the upside, they are accurate, well-made, tough as nails. I seem to remember reading that Ruger no longer supports them ( parts issue). ![]()
